Change can be VERY good.

Spring Semester is 4 weeks in and it is absolutely killing me! I am taking Drafting, Digital Imaging, World Art, and Marketing and Brand Development. I can honestly say Drafting is one of the hardest things I have every done in my life. It is completely learning how to draw out blue prints. Seriously? I am not an architect nor a interior designer, I have to say it is one of the pointless classes I will be taking at FIDM. Digital Imaging definitely isn't one of my favorite classes either. I swear I am not an idiot when it comes to computers but Adobe Illustrator is damn hard. My other 2 classes are just classes, not too hard, just lots of work. However it is getting pretty hard to go to class in all this nice weather, 85 degrees here in LA! I don't know how on earth I am gonna get through Summer Semester. It will definitely be a MAJOR challenge.

The best news I am bringing is that I got a new job at Nordstrom! (Hopefully this becomes permanent!) Today was my 3rd day and I couldn't be happier! I can't believe how much I have been enjoying it and how fast time goes! At my past jobs, (even Abercrombie with all my best friends) I would watch the clock minute by minute to see when I would get off. I seriously do not look at the clock and I am off work within 1 hour it seems! There is always something to do, something to try on, or something to sell! Everyone in the company has been so nice welcoming me and giving me advice! I also love the thought of following in my mother's footsteps! I know she is proud of me which makes me feel amazing :)

As much as I love love love love love working at Nordstrom, I miss Kitson uh-lot! I miss my friends there SO much! That was definitely the hard part of leaving, along with my amazing discount ;) I hope that I get to stay close to them as I continue living in LA because I really feel close to all of them!

Besides work and school, last week my whole life revolved around The Royal Wedding. I am SO completely OBSESSED with Kate Middleton. I think it is so cool that my mom's style icon one of her fave celebrities was Princess Diana as with me Kate Middleton. It is so weird how time passes and what happens. The wedding was so so incredible annnnnnd, THE DRESS! I was a little worried that Kate would do something either
1. Too Simple. Considering she is a commoner, and very very simple as well as a minimalist (not like it's a bad thing)
OR 2. Something a little too Modern, like she was trying too different.
I am SO happy I was wrong. She went with something so classic and beautiful by Sarah Burton, and like I had hoped she wore The Queen's Cartier Tiara :) People can hate, or wonder why the heck people even care about The Royal Wedding when it is such a big deal! Rather than it is a Real-Life-Fairytale, with a prince and a princess. It is such a big part of history. It shows that The Church of England is still the Longest Running Monarchy and how amazing tradition can be. I'm a little obsessed :)

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger!

You go girl friend.

This may sound like an extremely random post, but I would like to pay tribute to Jennifer Hudson.

I am sorry but this girl looks freaking UH-MAZING. Seriously every time I see a picture of her she has lost about 20 more pounds! I thought she couldn't get more fabulous but every time I see a picture of her she proves me wrong. I would really love to get in touch with her trainer. The End.

Blame it on the...

Guess I can't blame it on the alcohol since I don't consider myself an alcoholic.

I haven't blogged in FOREVER! So so sorry, but work and school is keeping me busy! I just finished up my second quarter at FIDM. It is going by so so fast! I start my next quarter on April 11th, and I am going to continue school through the summer! If all goes to plan I will be finished with school by March of 2012! WOW that sounds really weird.

Now, not to sound like those annoying girlfriends of people who go on their missions... but one of my best friend's in the whole wide world (not boyfriend) left on his mission last week. I flew into Salt Lake just for his farewell. It was so so awful saying goodbye because I talk to Jacob everyday! I just sent my first letter yesterday to him in the MTC. Guess I am going be spending a lot of money on postage stamps...

Today I drove down to Scottsdale to visit me Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. My cousins had NO idea I was coming so it was a BIG surprise for them! I am not going to be ready to go back to Los Angeles on Saturday. I am absolutely loving it here in Scottsdale, it is such a good balance between Utah and California. I am seriously considering moving here when I graduate FIDM.

I would also like to pay tribute to Elizabeth Taylor who passed away today. She was such a beautiful person inside and out, as well as such a major fashion influence! R.I.P.

I PROMISE to be a better blogger!

Uno, Dos, Tres

We did it again. Bountiful Mandonelles 3-Peat at State!
The girls finished off with a PERFECT season (absolutely no 2nd places) and it couldn't have been more deserved. There were definitely some flaws yesterday at state but hey, when was the last time we won state without them right? I am so proud to be a Mandonelle (I will not call myself alumni, I sound too old.) and to have amazing coaches and a group of sisters I will have forever. I can't believe how blessed I am to have had a coach like Jan and Ricci, and to be on a team with Mal Marsh. Each of them have made me a better person and better dancer. Even all the new girls this year I absolutely adore and consider them drill sisters. I couldn't have been more happy with the way things turned out and I am proud of EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM! As for the rest of 4A, the others were definitely jealous ;)

I was also EXTREMELY pleased with Bingham's back-to-back state title and thought their placement was PERFECT, the judges couldn't have gotten it more correct.

A big shout out to Hillcrest's Military, Cottonwood's Kick, Kearn's Military, and most of all Bingham's dance.

*More pictures coming soon :)

2011... what?

Alright if you haven't already noticed I am so over my 31 day challenge. typical. But I have also been WAY too busy to think about blogging! After going to my dads house I was at my moms, it was so so great! I got to catch up with all my friends, and I had a GREAT new years! I had to say some goodbye's to some boys leaving on their mission.... not fun :( I immediately cheered up when my mama came back to Los Angeles with me! We spent the WHOLE week decorating my new apartment! It looks so so darling, and I think I am finally feeling at home here in LA. I am so happy to have such a good roommate and best friend down here, Amanda Tirador. We get along so well and I know I would die without her here! Tonight we spent a countless amount of time laughing about some stupid YouTube video. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

Well I know I have rambled on but just catching up for the past 2 weeks :) I will definitely try to post pictures of my apartment this week :)

P.S. Anyone noticed the blog change? I am not too excited about it.
